“I'm writing this review to thank Rex and the staff at Five Foot Road for an incredible experience. I will remember the dishes, the desserts, the tea and the care of the whole team for the rest of my life. I just want to say thank you once again from Brazil.
Really recommend the dishes with Sichuan pepper.”

“Lunch at Five Foot Road restaurant was a delightful experience. Their Sichuan cuisine pleasantly surprised me; it wasn’t too oily or overly spicy, yet they expertly preserved the original flavors of the ingredients. The balance of flavors was impressive and made the meal truly enjoyable. Additionally, we were grateful to Vian for the excellent explanation of the dishes and the attentive service throughout our meal.”

“Five Foot Road is an amazing food experience – it exceeded our very high expectations for Michelin star dining.
The food was well-balanced, unique, and seemingly never-ending. We got to sample the flavors of savory, sweet, umami, mala, and so much more. Dish after dish were served in perfect harmony; we never felt like we were waiting for food. The homemade sauces and spice powders made the dishes shine even more.
Even better than the food was the impeccable service. We were lucky enough to be served by Caroline, Elena, Rex, and Vicky. They were:
- Astute: the team noticed that my husband and I are left-handed, and they immediately modified our chopsticks and tea settings to accommodate us.
- Skilled: Rex shared his knowledge of molecular gastronomy, which was how parts of our dessert were made.
- Multi-Lingual: we had the pleasure of speaking 3 languages with the team - Cantonese, Mandarin, and English.
- Personable: each team member shared information about their home towns, giving us good advice for when we have the chance to visit!
Looking forward to the day we can come back and bring family & friends!”

“Excellent sichuan meal and service from Rex (he’s thoughtful and provided great explanation of dishes) and the tea master (male who introduced us about the restaurant and female who performed the 8 treasure tea pouring). We dined on 5 Jan 2025 dinner (had to wait without reservation but no regrets on waiting!) and would love to visit again when we are back in Macau.”

“Sichuanese fine dining at its best. If you think Sichuan food is all about offensive spiciness and oiliness ending in horrible diarrhoea, this place will change your mind. You can taste different layers of flavours which is great. The abalone cold dish is a must try. Also do not miss the complimentary sweets at the end, it will blow you away!”
