“Not your typical breakfast or brunch spot. I arrived around 10am on a Sunday. There was a queue, but it moved pretty quickly. What I loved most is how they put a creative twist on every dish, definitely not boring! Chili Sourdough The sourdough itself was excellent: fluffy inside with a nice crunchy crust. 👌 The butter wasn't plain either, seemed whipped with something extra. The chili and cheese combo was spot on. Portion wise, it came as about a palm-sized piece cut into four. Two of those pieces had no chili or cheese (just plain), so halfway through, I was definitely missing the heat. Potato & Egg The highlight of the three dishes. The potato was silky and flavorful, especially when mixed with the egg. 🤤 It also paired beautifully with the sourdough. Breakfast Sandwich Nothing too exciting here, the meat was good and it was filling, but it didn't wow me. Portion sizes Most dishes were about the size of a palm. Not huge, but if you're dining alone, two dishes should fill you up. I’ll definitely be back to try the other items!”

“I came for the heytea collaboration, so most of the food i ate was the king jasmine guava flavour, while my friend had the potato with eggs. Okay, the $10 Honey Brie Toast was tasty 4/5. The top and bottom of the toast is slightly crispy, and the brie was delicious with the toast. The $15 King jasmine and Guava Dessert is very interesting 4/5. The shaved guava flavoured ice, along with actual guava pieces, with vanilla ice cream taste good. The hot foam they put as they serve it, is definitely not a common combination. The foam tastes like jasmine milk tea with cheese foam mixed together. The flavour profile is a bit complex, and the presentation with the foam could have been done better, but overall I enjoyed the sweet guava shaved ice. $7 Cucumber lemon soda: 1/5 when I think kf cucumber I think refreshing, sweet, and a light flavour (personal preference). But this tasted like straight pickle juice... and I couldn't finish it at all. Potato with eggs: 5/5 it's runny eggs with potato cream foam on top, a hearty meal that would go well with bread. It's a creamy and delicious combination. The service is good. The servers seat you and answer your questions politely. They ask if you are new and welcome you back if you aren't. The atmosphere inside the cafe is good. Open kitchen concept, and they sell granola bags, and bread loafs near the counter. It was a 40 minute wait at 12pm, so it was very hot as we queued outside. My advice is to bring a portable fan. Also, tip is to take the free shuttle bus from somerset. I was walking from fort canning and needed to trudge through mud from the new bharu car park. It is not pedastrian friendly at Kim Yam road. Inside the cafe, there's a huge table at the centre, so if it's crowded, be expected to share the table like a school canteen setting. Spent $38.37 for the toast, cucumber lemonade, and guava dessert. Portions are just right, with good brunch options.”

“I came here after hearing that the mashed potatoes were the best ever. Still, they turned out to be good, just not the highlight for me. Instead, the real game changer was the duck and hash, what an amazing combo. The eggs and beans were also splendid, especially paired with the chilli sourdough, which is honestly the best sourdough I’ve had so far. As for the service, even though the waiting queue was quite long (around 30 minutes), the staff were very attentive, and the owner was incredibly caring and thoughtful . A special mention for the dessert as well. We visited on Valentine’s Day and ordered a special dessert menu, which is a lava chocolate cake with a vanilla ice cream and raspberry sauce, absolutely delicious. I would definitely love to visit again, and hopefully they might consider coming back to Thailand!”

“It's fine dining, breakfast version. Meaning a lot of it is about the interplay of flavours and textures, being creative about how these interact, and transferring these insights and ideas to the consumer as an experience. The chefs even on site getting feedback and speaking with customers. Crazy long queue, but also a great place to bring a date. We saw many do just that. I'm gonna review the specific items, but I'd already conclude it's a good fine dining experience for the price point. The chili sourdough was recommended to go with the viral potato and egg. Nearly every table I saw ordered this combination. I would say the potato egg was very interesting in the idea and execution. The chili sourdough not so much. Felt the chili didn't really fit. The shiitake mushroom infused butter also didn't quite hit the spot the way a truffle butter would. Get that this is the eastern version, in this specific case I'm not sure its a great substitute, or improvement over the western version. The duck hash was good. Realised a little bit in, that the proper way to eat was to cut from the top down, and have a full cross section of all the different items and contrast the diff textures and flavours. Would say that the composition was quite off. There was too little hash brown and egg and cilantro and basil sauce and taco shells and everything else for the corresponding amount of duck. Got the idea though, manually adjusted and it was great. The strawberry granola was alright. Ordinary, good quality granola. Missed the last batch of advanced granola and yuzu infused. But that's what happens what it's all small batch granola, never quite know what's going to be available on the date. Dearborn's location in new bahru adds to the image as a lifestyle, family destination, with something for everyone, ranging from the connoisseur to the kids. Partner and I enjoyed our date there, would come again.”
