“Located via a small access lift. Walking into the space immediately presented warm and cozy energy. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a chill lunch/dinner minimalist vibe. They also have a really artsy retail shelf filled with chic kitchenwares.
The overall dining experience was nothing short of amazing while still maintaining a more than casual atmosphere. We had the Valentine’s Day special with the addition of a glass of wine each. Only remark for improvement would be timing between dishes as my partner and I felt it might’ve been a little bit long between courses and wondered if it were forgotten.
However, perhaps worth the wait type of deal as the food was absolutely delicious. Can’t wait to try the other dishes on the main menu.”

“Had a fantastic experience at Frankie & Fern—it’s the kind of place that gets everything just right without trying too hard. The vibe is relaxed yet stylish, perfect for anything from a casual brunch to a laid-back dinner with friends. There’s a warm, welcoming energy from the moment you walk in, and the space feels thoughtfully put together—cozy, but still lively.
The food is a real highlight. Everything we ordered felt fresh, well-balanced, and beautifully presented. Their brunch-style dishes stand out in particular—think perfectly cooked eggs, creamy avocado, and hearty, flavourful components that come together effortlessly on the plate. One standout was a richly satisfying main with bold, layered flavours and just the right amount of indulgence, while another dish leaned lighter and brighter, with fresh ingredients and a nice contrast of textures.
You can tell there’s real attention to detail in the kitchen, from seasoning to plating. Even the drinks menu deserves a mention—great coffee, refreshing options, and a few creative touches that elevate the overall experience.
Service was equally impressive—friendly, attentive, and genuinely enthusiastic without being intrusive. The team made us feel right at home and added to the overall charm of the place.
All in all, Frankie & Fern is a gem in Holland Village. Great food, great atmosphere, and a place you’ll definitely want to come back to.”

“Booked a table for 6 adults and 3 kids and were informed there would be charges for no-shows. We were also asked to place our food order in advance, which was fine. However, when we arrived, we made a few changes — swapped one dish, cancelled a drink, and added a few more items on the spot.
The server went through the updated list with us and we confirmed everything. Unfortunately, when the food arrived, it turned out that they had prepared and served all the items from the original pre-order instead. 🫠
Halfway through the meal, the server reconfirmed the order again and we pointed out that the fries we had added earlier were missing. He acknowledged it, but after about 20 minutes with no sign of the dish, we asked again. He then realised it had been overlooked, and by that point we decided to cancel it since we had already finished most of our food.
It seemed like the team struggled to keep up with changes made after the pre-order. Because of this, it might actually work better if they simply did not take pre-orders in the first place.
That said, the environment is extremely kid-friendly. There’s an outdoor play area and toys for children, plus a nursing room with two air-conditioned cubicles — very thoughtful for families. The space itself is also spacious and comfortable.
Food-wise, it was decent overall. The açaí bowl was great value — five scoops of açaí topped with plenty of fruits and nuts for just $15++. The steak and eggs, however, is something you could probably skip.
Sea salt latte, okay, nothing too interesting.
Reservations are recommended as the place tends to be fully booked.”

“Went on Wednesday at 2pm and was surprised to find that it was pretty busy! Would recommend making a reservation first.
Food was very creative and very delicious. Sea urchin herb butter linguine was rich and had a generous amount of seafood. Portobello toast had lots of different components and was very unique, altho I would say it would be better if the tuile was more crispy and there was a bit less cream cheese for better balance. The shoestring fries with garlic aioli dip was great too.
We were also surprised by the quality of the sparkling raspberry lychee (not pictured) - most places just mix soda with a bit of syrup but the one here was not stingy at all and did actually taste like real lychee.
Spent a total of $88 for 2 which is not cheap, but food was good quality!”

“🌟 crispy baby squid ($14) — LOVED the curry dipping sauce…
wood roasted pork belly ($38) — we actually wanted to try the beef cheeks, but it wasn’t available 🥹 this dish was good tho! good lean cuts of pork, with a lil fat to make it more juicy but not overly greasy (i wished the meat was more juicy tho). the apple sauce was strong and sweet, and went well with the meat and mash potatoes.
herb butter linguine ($28) — noodle texture ✅ yummy sauce ✅”
