“Found this place for our family V-day dinner on 14 Feb 2026 as we wanted to go for a walk at the CNY market just opposite. It is a hostel cum cafe which is always my dream to own one as I love the vibes being able to serve the locals and travellers at my own work time! 🤩 (Wondering if needs at least >300k to startup...🤪)
Food and the portions are quite good and reasonably cafe price. All the staffs on the ground are very friendly as well.
Lastly, I'll let my pics do the talkings... 🤩👍”

“Fernweh Cafe is airy and spacious that it feels like a little quiet escape from the buzz outside.
The menu leans towards brunch-style fare, mains and sharing plates with a local twist. We tried the Rendang Beef Benedict, which came with tater tots and a side salad. The dish was flavourful and satisfying - the rendang beef was tender, aromatic and carried a gentle warmth that paired well with the buttery, toasted sourdough. The slight letdown was the poached eggs, which didn’t quite have the ooze we were hoping for.
The Har Cheong Gai Don was filling, and I liked the addition of vegetables and edamame for some freshness. The chicken was crispy and tender though the signature savoury shrimp paste flavour was milder than expected. Similarly, the soft egg wasn’t as runny. The set comes with a drink and the Iced Lemonade was visually stunning, refreshing, and nicely balanced between sour, sweet and fizzy. It awakened my senses and perfect for a hot day. Shiok!
Coffee here is very reasonably priced at $4 for an Americano and $4.50 for a Flat White. The brew leaned towards medium-bodied with darker undertones and not too acidic. Personally, I enjoyed it.”

“My group of 4 visited the cafe for a team lunch. We picked this place because we noticed it was never too packed even during peak hours whenever we walked past. All of us went for the value-for-money set lunch, which costs $15.90++ and includes a drink. My companion ordered the Har Cheong Kai don and loved it.
I got the Firecracker Burger and was delighted by both the portion and quality. The chicken patty was juicy and well-marinated. We also got the Carrot cake to share and was impressed by this creative rendition. The cafe latte was a bit milder than I usually like, but it was still pretty decent. The sesame mochi is a must-order to end your meal with a sweet note. It is clearly made in-house and has a lovely chewy texture.
The crew were also very attentive and refilled our water without us even having to ask. 100% satisfied and will be back.”

“had a great experience here! staff were lovely, loved the vibes and interior. one dish that really blew me away was the Durian Creme Brulee ($12). this is a seasonal item so please get it while you can! tasted like smooth, creamy durian mousse with a caramelised top. this was unlike anything i’ve ever tried before and it really impressed me. my only suggestion would be to add more strawberries, as it was a great combination. the durian smell isn’t super strong, so don’t be deterred!
i also really liked the House-Made Radish Cake Bites ($12), their take on chai tao kway. soft, chewy, flavourful, not too oily at all! i love how it’s in big chunks.
for their signature Chilli Crab Pasta ($18), the sauce was well-balanced, noodles were a good texture, and the fried crab was yummy! more affordable price point than a lot of cafes too. the Beef Steak Don ($20) was pretty decent too.
would definitely recommend! full review on Instagram: @belleanceddiet”

Not bad. Yummy. Numb your tongue!

PS. I went there on a Saturday morning and gotta wait for a bit, perhaps there were lots of orders before us! ☺️ Hence, don’t go when you are too hungry if not when you wait it makes you angsty. 🤣
