“Family dinner here at Tanjong Pagar BYD.
Lovely space and atmosphere as compared to BYD Zhongshan.
6 of us, ordered quite a number of stuff to share. Menu is slightly different from zhongshan. We had the wagyu, beer battered fish & chips, grilled salmon with pesto.. etc. do refer to pictures. Food was great overall.
Small hiccup by the team, salmon was not fired as we waited and everybody else were more than halfway into their dishes. It came as a rush job, salmon skin was abit soft where it was supposed to be on the crispy side. Salmon itself we felt was overcooked to well done. Made no complaints as we felt it could be how the kitchen does the salmon.
The sides were amazing. Especially loved the fermented pork belly. Crispy and fatty, dipped into the sour chilli.
Desserts were sweet but not ok sweet. Fantastic I would say. I seriously enjoyed the tiramisu which seems to have a higher amount of rum mixed in.
Staff were friendly and accommodating. Just want to mention SOON for his service throughout our dinner.
Will return for more in future”

“My friends and I had dinner at the cafe. The ambience is great and food is delicious. I especially like the sausage platter and the poached pear dessert. The service crew members by the name of Faiz and Mei are highly hospitable.”

“I had an amazing experience at BYD Restaurant! The pasta was perfectly cooked, and the chicken stew was rich and comforting—just what I needed. To top it all off, the desserts were absolutely delightful! The staff was friendly and attentive, making me feel right at home. It’s definitely my new favorite spot!”

“Had a pleasant time at the restaurant. The manger was really nice and helpful. Food here is also good and well made. A good place for dinner and drinks with family and friends (although it is tricky to get a table and make reservations).”

“Good deal with $9.90++ set, reasonable portion and taste. Service was great, prompt and attentive. I like the outdoor seats which are still sheltered.
Only gripe is with the coffee, which is super pricey at $7 and too watered down. The happy hour beer is the same price, so guess the message is drink beer not coffee? Would come back again, but will skip the coffee.”
