Daily Beer (Telok Ayer)

“Came here on a Thursday night while it was raining heavily, and luckily we managed to get a table because the place was seriously packed. We ordered the fried chicken in original and soy garlic flavours. I personally preferred the original flavour because it was crispy on the outside and slightly spicy on the inside, and since there was no sauce it stayed nice and crunchy. That said, after a few pieces it did start to feel a little heavy. The soy garlic version was alright but nothing particularly special. The fish cake soup was decent, though I would have preferred it to be more flavourful as it was a bit bland. As for the drinks, they were okay, mostly just concentrate mixed with sparkling water, nothing too remarkable. Overall, it’s a good spot for Korean fried chicken after work, especially if you want a casual place to hang out. Just be prepared that it can get quite noisy and cramped, which makes conversation a bit harder.”

“I have been really meaning to try this place and finally I got to. And I was not disappointed. Loved the beer here as it is served in a cold glass. What was also outstanding was the food. We are served popcorn at the beginning and this was good. They even topped it up for us. The fried chicken was also very delicious. We had half/half and chose the crunch and black fried chicken. We also tried the crunchy gimbab. Good place. Nice ambience. And I can understand how it is crowded.”

“Customer is great, friendly staff who gave good recommendations. Even went above and beyond to direct us to a plug in case we needed. Food is good too! Ordered gimbap, Shrimp Bar and honey golden and original wings. Although Gimbap could have been a bigger portion, but taste great!”

“Finally get to try Daily Beer as they are always full house whenever I wanted to patronise them. Initially I wanted to takeaway my dinner but I'm glad I chose dine in instead. The chicken was made to order so it might take just a little bit of waiting time but the complimentary sweet butter popcorn was surprisingly good. We ordered half and half whole chicken, the texture of the chicken was great, especially the chicken breast was tender. And it pairs well with the craft beer (of course!). It was a great meal and guess the only thing I can pick is the lack of banchan (it will be great to have some kimchi to balance my taste bud). Otherwise, I'll be back for more in the future.”

“The music was on point, service was extremely prompt & friendly (we were the only patrons), the choice of food looked interesting but we came for the beer flight. Great range of local & imported beers. Little bit of a shame it is a curated flight & not a "chose your own". I scanned the QR code upon reviewing and recieved this MASSIVE shrimp bar - BONUS!!! Brilliant & tasty reward - thank you.”
