“Solid 4.5 ⭐ It’s great to see more local spots with character popping up! Love this relaxed bar that feels like a place run by a group of friends. The staff is incredibly warm and sincere!
The food was a major highlight, especially their beef tallow fries. They were crunchy, not at all oily, and served in a huge portion. I’m usually not a fan of pork belly, but their crispy pork belly with scallion oil was delicious. The meat was leaner, and the crispy skin paired perfectly with the oil.
While the steak cut itself was just okay (which is understandable given the very reasonable price point), the chimichurri sauce was absolutely on point.
I’m not much of a beer connoisseur, but I really enjoyed the quirkiness of their imported taps. The Raspberry Dark Chocolate Coconut Cluster was sour and savory all at once while the Devil in Disguise was a much smoother, lighter option. I’ll definitely be returning.”

“Enjoyed our cold refreshing beer! It was bold tasting yet surprisingly smooth as well. We savoured the malt sweetness that balances the hops.
Wondering whether the name “Sudden Death” reflects its dangerously drinkable nature, it goes down easily despite the high alcohol content! Looked it up and learnt that Amplifier Sudden Death DIPA (often just called Amplifier) is brewed by Sudden Death Brewing Co., a craft brewery based in northern Germany. Apparently, the brewery was founded by enthusiasts with a passion for ice hockey, rock music, and bold craft beer styles. The name “Sudden Death” comes from ice hockey, refers to the winning goal scored in overtime
Anyway, back to this place, pretty cool with good energetic fun music, fast and friendly service and most important, interesting selection of craft beers! There's even wine and cocktails as well according the menu.
Having their stylized face over the old restored engineering sign is hilarious. Bears a distinct resemblance to the bartender. Staff have very high esprit, seems to be all friends. Passes the vibe check.”

“Chill place.
Staffs are extremely friendly. Service is rather quick. Good food. Good vibes. Music is not overly loud and awesome picks. Parking is available opposite at Jalan Besar (we came on a Saturday, almost 6pm) and road side parking available too.
Nearby lots of hotels.
I love this place and would visit again with my friends for a night out.”

“Want to gatekeep but also everything is so good and this place deserves all the stars if I could give them more I would. From top notch service to the most delicious bites—I’d keep coming back if I could. We ordered one of everything and enjoyed EVERYTHING.”

“second thoughts is a pretty new bar in the neighbourhood but the vibes are so comfy i feel like i’ve been coming here for years. the food looked so good i got 1 of everything on the menu and nothing disappointed. the Gouda Crisps were insanely good especially with the butter chicken dip but the beef tallow fries makes me wish i knew how to cook. if you’re around the area you gotta stop by.”
